GET A LOTTERY GRANT BOOST FOR THE NEW YEAR
AWARDS FOR ALL LOTTERY FUND
What is Awards for All?
Awards for All is a programme set up to help small sport, arts and community groups access lottery funding.
You can apply for up to £5000 in any one year.
To apply for a grant your group only needs to complete a short application form and give some basic information about your group.
Awards for All has been described as the easiest way to access lottery funding.
Awards for All funds community, arts, sport and heritage activities also projects in the areas of health,
education and the environment.
Awards for All can fund a wide range of groups from senior citizens groups to youth choirs, and from football clubs to local history societies,
with everything in betweens.
Most of the groups funded through the programme are small groups, usually run by volunteers offering people in their local community
the chance to get involved in worthwhile activities. You can apply if you need between £500 and £5000, can spend your grant within one year,
you have a constitution or set of rules which you have adopted, a bank or building society account, annual accounts or statements of income and
expenditure, and an annual income of under £20,000.New groups are welcome to apply. The committee should draw up and adopt a constitution or set of
rules before you apply.
Awards for All realise that new groups do not have a set of accounts instead they need an estimate of the income and expenditure for
their first year. An office holder from your group must sign this. You need to have a constitution before you can apply to Awards for All. If you
need help to draw one up, or to re-write your existing constitution, you can contact the local CVS or Sport
Inverclyde.Your constitution or set of rules should include your organisation`s name, aims and objectives, details of how you achieve your
objectives, details of how your committee is elected or appointed, how people can join your group, what will happen to your assets if the group
closes, the date when your constitution was adopted on behalf of the group, and the original signature of chair or other senior contact.
Most applicants are expected to contribute something towards project costs in cash,"in kind", or both."In kind" contributions include time,
materials, premises, transport and so on.
Had money from Awards for All before? Why not re-think and re-apply!
Awards for All have launched a drive to encourage groups to re-think and re-apply, some groups are re-applying to the scheme for the same thing
twice and this is something that can't generally be funded. But you can apply again if they want to do something new or different.
If any group has had a grant of less than £5000 within twelve months a further application can be made for the balance.
Twelve months after your first grant is confirmed you may apply again for up to £5000 and each twelve months thereafter.
Sport Inverclyde offers a help and advice service to all groups, this allows groups to find out more about grants and the application process,
discuss projects and get help with the application form.
