SPORT INVERCLYDE
INDIVIDUAL GRANT CRITERIA
Sport Inverclyde’s
INDIVIDUAL GRANT SCHEME is intended to assist sports performers and
youngsters with excellent sporting potential, by contributing to the costs
involved in undertaking specialised training/coaching programmes, designed
to improve their standard of performance, develop their potential and allow
them to participate in competition at a high level.

PLAYER IMPROVEMENT
GRANT
Consideration will be
given in exceptional circumstances to assist young sports performers
attending a recognised player improvement course
to a maximum of £50 in any one case.
3.
SPORTS PERFORMERS
COACHES AND CHAPERONES
Grants to coaches or
chaperones accompanying performers to championships will be considered on
their individual merits to a
maximum of £50 in any one case.
ASSESSMENT
In addition to the
general principles for making awards, individuals will be considered under
the following:

of the individual

The
competitiveness of his / her sport
§
Standard of
participation attained
§
Planned
programme for the forthcoming year
EXCLUSIONS

Individual Grant
Aid is not available to any applicant over the age of 35 and who are
considered to be in the ‘Masters’ competitive age category of their sport.
Applications will however be considered, by ‘Master’ sports’ applicants for
coach education courses, for the furtherance of their particular sport.
Applicants should note that the combined
total of Grant Aid awarded to a club and its individual members will not
exceed £500 in any one year.
THE AWARDING OF A GRANT MUST NOT UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES BE ASSUMED BY THE APPLICANT
